Yahoo Voice Hacked, 450k Passwords Leaked

It’s really a bad news for Yahoo Voice users and Yahoo both. It appears that security of Yahoo voice has been compromised. More than 450k users email and login details are posted online.

This document came with the title of “Owned and Exposed.” Document includes MySQL dumps and then list of email addresses along with the password.

Access the leaked passwords

Document containing passwords is still online and you can see the leaked passwords with associated email address.

This is another big password leak in past few months. Few weeks back, professional social network LinkedIn also faced similar kind of password leakage. After that few other big names’ security were compromised.

It is still a time to worry that these kind of big companies are not safe and fail to protect user data. user trust these brands but they do not implement proper security. I do not know why  they fail to implement proper cryptographic security.

Yahoo voice users are advised to change the password. They are also advised to change the passwords of all the services having similar password.
