WishTel Launches Low-cost Android Tablets

WishTel has launched a new low-cost tablet in Indian Market. This new tablet, IRA Thing 2 is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor with 512 MB Ram.

It has 7 inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display and runs on Google’s latest version of mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

It has 4 GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera at front of the device for video conversations. For connecting device to TV, it also has a HDMI port.

“Ira and Ira Thing received overwhelming response from our customers. With the launch of Ira Thing 2, we wish to offer the youth of today, a device that is fun, trendy and offers access to the best of entertainment and education applications at an affordable price,” Milind Shah, chief executive officer, WishTel said.

This tablet is designed and manufactured in India. This tablet is available in 6 attractive colors red, yellow, pink, blue, black and white.
This new tablet also comes with a TV app which offers more than 120 TV channels. It also comes with a news app that allow users to access more tha 50 news papers in local languages across India.

Ira Thing 2 also offers Indian language keyboard to support 14 Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Oriya.

For connectivity, it supports 3G dongle. It also has WiFi connectivity.

IRA Thing 2 is available in all outlets and website of company for the price of Rs 6,500. It comes with HDMI cable, wireless headphone, WLAN to USB port cable.

At this price, this tablet will directly compete with Micromax Funbook tablet and Karbonn Smart tab 1. Both tablet falls in the same price range. But Micromax has better reputation. So it will be hard for WishTel to sell its tablet. But This tablet comes with many nice features, such as TV and news apps along with a front camera which is a plus point for this.
