RCom launches New 3G Tablet for Rs 14,499


Reliance Communication has launched another 3G tablet in Indian Market Rs. 14,499. This new Reliance 3G tab runs on Google’s mobile operating system Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Reliance 3G Tab is powered by a powerful 1.4 GHz processor with 512 RAM and features a 7 inch capacitive touch screen which screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

It also features a 3 megapixel camera at the back and a front VGA camera for video calling.

Announcing the launch of the latest 3G tablet from Reliance, Sanjay Behl, group head – brand and marketing, Reliance Communications, said, “The new 3G TAB is sure to enhance customer experience on our seamless IP enabled superior 3G network bundled with exciting offers at an affordable price point.”

“As the form factor of tablets has evolved from 10-inch to seven-inch to even five-inch, we see that the voice factor will also come into play. We see a lot of texting applications from the device,” said Mahesh Prasad, president of Reliance Communications.

Reliance 3G Tab also comes with 3G data offer worth Rs. 6,250 from Reliance communication. Users will get 3GB of 3G data for three months. Users will also get 1 year free subscription on McAfee Mobile Security, 2 months free subscription of BigFlix and a free 4 GB micro SD card.

With these data offers, Reliance Communication wants to increase 3G subscribers in the country. It has  has launched 3G in 333 towns across the 13 circles. where it around two million 3G subscribers

Users will also get 3 months of free video calling for local and STD to Reliance 3G, voice rental for 12 months (Postpaid) along with global calling worth Rs. 250

The tablet was launched on Tuesday in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata and will be available in other circles in the next few days.

Reliance already has a good range of tablets in both GSM and CDMA versions.
