According to a post on blog iMore, Apple may will announced its next generation iPhone on September 12. This new device will possibly called iPhone 5. It also says that Apple will also announce iPad Mini on the same day. Report also says that iPhone 5 will be released on 21 September in US.

This report says the same thing which was reported by the Guardian few days back. The Guardian also reported that Apple may launch iPhone 5 in mid-September. The Guardian also reported that “the device will introduce a new 19-pin power and control connector on its base, dumping the 30-pin connector first introduced with the third-generation iPod in April 2003.” iPhone 5 will also come with 4G capability but it will only be available with 4G service providers. It will also feature larger 4.6-inch retina display.

Last year, the iPhone 4S was announced on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, and released 10 days later on October 14.

Apple is trying to keep the specs, design, and availability a mystery. But many blogs have posted leaked images and specification.
