Motorola Launches DEFY XT and DEFY Mini in India

Motorola has launched two new smartphones in DEFY series. These new smartphones are Motorola DEFY XT and dual-SIM Motorola DEFY MINI. These smartphone are dust proof, water resistant and scratch resistant.

“Our original Motorola DEFY was a hit all over Asia. We are now expanding our portfolio of water-resistant smartphones to give you more choices without having to break your wallet,” said Rajan Chawla, country head (sales and operations), India, Motorola Mobility.

Motorola DEFY XT is powered by 1 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and runs on Android 2.3 mobile operating system. It features a 3.7-inch FWVGA display with capacitive touch and scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. It has a 5 mega pixel camera at the back and a VGA front camera for video calling. It is also packed with a 1650 mAH battery, which is expected to give 9.5 hours of talk time.

This smartphone is priced at priced at Rs. 16,190.

Motorola DEFY MINI is a dual sim smartphone and is powered by a 600 MHz processor. It also runs on Android 2.3 and features a 3.2-inch HVGA with capacitive touch with scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. It has a 3 mega pixel camera with flash along with a VGA camera at the front of the device for video calling.

Other features of the smartphone include GPS/aGPS, 3.5 mm stereo jack, Bluetooth A2DP, AVRCP and Wi-fi. This smartphone is expected to hit the market on June 20 for the price of Rs. 11,490.
