Research In Motion and Porsche Design has quietly launched BlackBerry Porsche Design p’9981 in India. This smartphone is designed exclusively by the Porsche Design Group and will be available for Rs 1,39,990 on BlackBerry Premium and BlackBerry Exclusive stores.

It is made of  exclusive materials such as forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display and has exclusive Porsche Design UI on top of the latest BlackBerry OS 7.

BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9981 features a special customisation bearing BlackBerry 7.0 Operating System and is powered by a powerful 1.2 GHz Qualcomm mobile processor. The Porsche Design P’9981 features 2.8-inch touchscreen LCD display supporting VGA (640×480) pixel resolution and a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8655 with Adreno 205 graphics.

This smartphone has a 5 megapixel fixed focus camera with flash and 4X Digital Zoom and can support 720p HD video recording.

Other features of this handset include bluetooth, WiFi, accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and dual-microphone for background noise suppression.

It has built-in NFC support and features 768 MB RAM. It comes with 8 GB of on-board memory which is expandable upto 32GB with microSD. It is also packed with 1230 mAh battery which gives 5.5 hours battery backup.
