In this IPL Sourav Ganguly is playing as a captain of Pune Warriors and his team has lost last three matches. But former India skipper Sourav Ganguly is still a ‘hit’ on Google. According to this search giant, Sourav Ganguly is the most searched among all the captains during the IPL matches.
Gaungaly is leading the most searched person followed by another former India captain Rahul Dravid who is at the second place and Captain cool Dhoni comes third.
“(Sourav) Ganguly is still leading the pack by being searched most among the IPL captains,” Google said on basis of a comparative study done over a month.
“As we come towards the middle of this season’s IPL when the teams and players have been divided on popularity based on their performances, Ganguly is proving the facts wrong.”
Comparing between keywords like ‘MS Dhoni’, ‘Virender Sehwag’, ‘Sourav Ganguly’, ‘Rahul Dravid’ and ‘Gautam Gambhir’, the left-handed batsman, hugely popular in Kolkata got the most online hits, it added.
