Facebook has just updated its Messenger application for Android devices. This new app aims to provide better messaging experience. This improved app now allows users to see who read your message and who has not.

This messenger app also allows users to send SMS notification to those friends who have not installed this messenger app into theid devices ut they are in the friend list and added their mobile number in profile.

These are few changes according to developers:

  • Text a friend or start a group conversation
  • Get free push notifications so you never miss a message
  • Access chats and messages as seamless conversations — wherever you log into Facebook
  • Know who’s seen your message, and who hasn’t
  • Include your location and share photos

There are also few typing notification added and some visual updates. It also comes with many older big fixed.
Facebook Messenger 1.7 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
