Facebook Adds File Sharing To All Groups

Today, Facebook has rolled out file sharing feature to all groups. To protect any controversies and copyright, Facebook has only allowed file size only up to 25 MB.

Few weeks back, Facebook had announced groups for colleges with file sharing option. But one need a .edu email address to create and join thoe type pf groups. Now the similar kind of sharing option is going to be available for all groups. This service will be available soon to all Facebook users.

To prevent the spread of malicious, inappropriate or copyrighted files, “users can report files the same way they can with other content across the site,” a Facebook spokesperson said. Whether a group that wants to share such things will willingly turn itself in remains to be seen.

This service does not allow users to share executable files. But it allows e-books, comics, music videos and other small movies which are less than 25 MB in size.
