A new Scam is spreading on Yahoo email users’ inbox. This scam email warns users that their account has exceeded its limit. In reality, it is a phishing scam designed to steal login credentials.
“Your E-mail account has exceeded its limit and needs to be verified, if not verified within 24 hours, we shall suspend your account. Click Here,” reads the message.
users who click on the link are taken to a Yahoo login phishing page. If user enters his login credentials in the fake page, his login credentials are stored in the attackers database.
Yahoo email users are advised not to click on any this type of link arrived in the inbox in an email. Always verify the official email and check for the phishing page before enter the login details
