Microsoft has finally released the Skype app for windows phone smartphones. With this video calling app, usrs can make voice calls, video calls and text messages to other friend in the contact list.

This app ask users permission for accessing heir phonebook to check whether any other existing users are using the skype or not. Users can use front camera of the device to make video calls.

But this app has one drawback, to recieve the call, this app must be running in your device. It will not start automaticaly. Hopefully that won’t be the case with the Windows Phone 8 OS.

This app also allow users to use Skype credits to make calling to landline numbers. Download this app from the Windows Phone marketPlace.
