Want to know your Gmail habit? Top Google Apps Script contributor has now launched a new tool called Gmail Meter which helps users to analyze their email habit and Gmail usage.

With the help of this tool, you will know about things like how many emails you’ve sent, received, starred, replied to, and you can see your daily traffic charted out, which can help identify spurts and drops.

Google announced, “Gmail Meter is an Apps Script which runs on the first day of every month and sends you an email containing different statistics about your Inbox.”

Gmail Meter gives you different types of statistics that will help you analyze your Gmail habits. These statistics includes

  • Volume Statistics
  • Daily Traffic
  • Traffic Pattern
  • Email Categories
  • Time Before First Response
  • Word Count
  • Thread Lengths

To install this feature, go to Google Docs and create a new spreadsheet (and save it). Click on Tools, followed by Script Gallery, then search for “Gmail Meter” and click Install.
