Motorola to shut down its ZumoDrive cloud storage service, Lunching MotoCast

Motorola is going to shutdown its cloud storage service, ZumboDrive (http://www.zumodrive.com/). Company is also planning a new improved cloud storage service MotoCast.

According to reports company has started sending notifications regarding closure of ZumoDrive services to all users. Company also adviced users to take backup of their data from ZumoDrive. All users’ data will be safe on the server and will remain available for download until June 1st, 2012.

ZumboDrive is the cloud storage service which offers 2 GB free storage to all users. It also has apps for a variety of platforms including Android, iOS, Windows and Linux.

This step is taken as a launch of new cloud storage service MotoCast. MotoCast will provide seamless, instant access to user’s computer’s content from their smartphones, tablet or even another computer safely and securely. Users can stream their own music, videos, photos and files without the burden and cost of uploading to a public cloud.
