Lava Launches Lava Xolo X900, Intel Medfield based Phone

As expected, Intel Medfield based phone goes on sale in India with the launch of Lava Xolo X900.

This is the first fone running on Intel Medfield platform. This phone is powered by single-core 1.6GHz Saltwell CPU with Hyper-Threading, PowerVR SGX540 GPU clocked at 400MHz and 32-bit Dual channel LPDDR2 memory. Phone will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread but we can expect an Android 4.0 update soon.

It has 4.03-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution (295 PPI). It aso features 8 megapixel rear camera with flash, 10fps burst mode and 1080p video recording along with a front 1.3 megapixe camera for video calling. If we talk about memory, it has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space.

Other feature includes HSPA+ connectivity up to 21Mbps, HDMI out and NFC built-in.

The Lava Xolo X900 is priced at Rs. 22,000 ($423/€323). The device will be available in India on April 23 at Croma or from Xolo.in, and will hit retail chains in early May.
