Few days back, Winzip announced its app for iOS devices which allows users to extract and open ZIP archives in iOS devices. But the app is doing more than developers were expected.
WinZip iOS app has crossed 500,000 downloads mark with approximately 512,000 installs in just a week. The app saw over 30,000 downloads on Day One, and nearly 150,000 on Day Two. We all know that iOS users were waiting for Winzip app but this was a surprising response which was also not expected by the company
This app was really needed because most of the mail attachments come in the form of Zip archive. Users were not able to see the attachment in their iOS device. Now users can see all the compressed attachments and zip files direct in their iOS device. That will save their time and effor both. Now they do not need to go to their desktop to see what they got in the mail.
