Samsung Announces Galaxy Beam, Smartphone With Projector

BARCELONA: Samsung has announced its new Samsung Galaxy Beam with a built in projector. The projector uses a 15 lumens lamp that is capable of projecting a 50-inch wide high-definition image, although Samsung does not mention the actual resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Beam is powered by 1 GHz CPU and runs on Android 2.3. It has a 4 inches screen with 800×480 screen resolution. The device features 5 MP camera at back and a VGA camera at front.

Device also features 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot. It comes with a  768 MB RAM. Connectivity features of this smartphone includes USB 2.0, AGPS, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth.

It is packed with a 2,000 mAh battery that performs well.
