Few days back, Yahoo got its new CEO Scott Thompson. For the new CEO Yahoo has decided the payscale and all other commissions. Scott Will get $1 million as his salary with upto $2 million as a cash bonus. He will also get stock awards that could be worth as much as $22.5 million.

The stock awards could be worth more or less, depending how Yahoo’s long-slumping shares fare under Thompson’s leadership.

Thompson received a $10.4 million compensation package at PayPal in 2010. It included a $645,000 salary. EBay hasn’t yet revealed how much it paid Thompson last year.

Thompson is assigned as a new CEO of the Yahoo which struggling and loosing market share with Google. As a new CEO, it will be a challenging task for Thompson to get better results in less time.
