In the race of technology, the acer adds its new ultrabook named Aspire S5 at CES 2012International show in Las Vegas. It is the world’s thinnest ultrabook. This is claimed to be the world’s thinnest Ultrabook.

The features that reviled till now about it are:

  • 15mm or 0.59 inches thick at its thickest point,
  • 13.3-inch ultrabook sports a magnesium alloy cover
  • Creative use of space on the S5 with a bevy of ports including HDMI, USB 3.0, and
  • Thunderbolt ports along with an SSD.

The Aspire also features a couple of proprietary Acer techs that help with performance: Acer Green Instant On, which is said to bring the notebook back from sleep mode in less than 1.5 seconds, and Acer Always Connect, which promises to quickly reconnect you with any online services you were logged into when your computer went to sleep. It also lets you wake up the A5 via smartphone.

As the unveilings of latest gadgets is happenning in CES 2012 so we can not say that the thinnest tablet will also be thinnest after the CES 2012.
