Spice mobile has announced a low cost Android smartphone in India. This phone is priced at Rs. 5,123. This new smartphone Spice Mi280 is the cheapest Android smartphone in India and comes with some good features.
This smartphone is powered by 650 MHz processor along with a 200 MHz GPU and 512 MB RAM. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This phone features a 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen with 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
It has a 3.2 MP camera at back and a VGA camera at the front. This phone supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity.
While talking about the battery, the phone features a 1000 mAh battery, which claims to offer around 2 hours of talk time on 3G and 4 days of standby time. So battery backup is not up to that mark and can be a weak point of the phone.
It has many other features like GPS, A-GPS, proximity sensor, push email, Gtalk, and 32 GB expandable memory.
