Sony has launched iOS app of its music service, “Music Unlimited”. This is a subscription based service which offers users to play their favorite songs.

Music UnlimitedSony launched a music service back in December 2012 with the name “Music Unlimited“. This service can be seen as the service iTunes provided by Apple. Sony already boasted to have more than a million subscribers for its Music Unlimited service which includes people with trial account. This service is already available in all Sony products and Android as well.

Now Sony has decided to get more attention to its service, “Music Unlimited” with the launch of an app for iOS devices. The Music Unlimited service offers two subscription types, basic and premium. The basic subscription will cost you $3.99 a month and for that, you get to stream music from your own personal library or a few select channels while premium subscribers pay $9.99 to stream from Sony’s catalog of over 15 million songs. You can also cache songe to listen and enjoy offline.

There are already apps like Shazam and Spotify which provides same music streaming service. So it will be interesting to see how Sony will perform in the battle of music streaming with Music Unlimited.

Sony has no service launched in India so this service is also not for indian users.
