Leading computer peripherals manufacturer Kobian has announced to launch a new tablet, Mercury mTab2.

Computer peripherals manufacturer brand, Kobian has announced a new tablet in Indian market under the brand Mercury. This tablet is called Mercury named as mTab2 which is available for Rs. 12,000.

Mercury mTab2 is powered by dual core 1 Ghz processor. It comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Tablet has 7 inch (16:9) capacitive multi-touch display with storage of 8 GB. Storage can be expanded upto 32 GB via Micro SD card.

“Our first launch was immensely appreciated and accepted by the masses. It only motivated us to bring in a superior product at an affordable price for our consumers. Features like USB, battery backup and internal storage are vital features for the regular users and mTab2 brings all packed in a lighter version of 365gm this time,” said Sushmita Das, country manager – India, Kobian.”We shall be announcing our next generation models in a very short time, our partners should look ahead for the excitement to continue.”

Mercury mTab2 has a full USB 2.0 port and also comes with a front facing camera. The tablet also features full HDMI output along Flash 10.2 online video and built-in speaker and mic. This tablet donot support 3G but WiFi (b and g only) . Company also claimed that the tablet has 8 hours battery backup.
