Blogger changes domain extension for Indian Blogs, now blogspot.in

blogger domain extension changedBlogger is the free blogging service by Google. Blogger offers a free blogspot sub-domain and free hosting for blogs. This service is free of cost and users can host their blogs for the years. Users can also earn money by showing ads on their blogs using various ad networks and affiliates. There are many popular websites are already running on the blogger. Blogger has also an option to switch to a custom domain. But users prefer free blogspot sub-domain in start

Till now,Blogger used to give a subdomain of blogspot.com. So any blog had a domain like this, “yourblog.blogspot.com“. Now blogger has changed the extension and for all Indian blogs. Now a blogger from india will get a free domain of blogspot.in. And all the existing blogs will be redirected to the blogspot.in. So if you had a blog on blogger having domain, “myblog.blogspot.com“, it will now redirected to “myblog.blogspot.in“.

This new change is only for Indian blogs. All other blogs which are not associated with an Indian blogger profile will continue to run on blogspot.com sub-domain.

Blogger has not announced anything regarding this change and we are still waiting for any official announcements.
