Microsoft is trying to beat Google in several areas, so company is working on improving its products and services. Now Microsoft has updated Bing Maps with a high speed algorithm which is claimed to be twice faster than before.

“I can tell you that we’re enjoying the reduced latency, high performance, low overhead benefits of a new route calculation algorithm that changes the game in how driving directions queries are computed,” Bing Maps product manager Chris Pendleton wrote.

User will not see any noticale changes on Bing Maps.  But it will give fast results while searching for some places and directions. These changes only make service better where 1 sec is also a big time interval to reduce.
