Yahoo has announced some new features in its image search. The changes are not in the Algorithms, but in visual appearance. The image search result page gets infinite scrolling. You can simple scroll down the page to see more pages until you find the right one.

Users can also share images they find in yahoo search with their friends in facebook and twitter.

“We are introducing two new, important features today on Yahoo! Image search to help users get the best out of searching for photos online,” Yahoo announced in a post.

“Yahoo! Image Search now provides the ability to share any image through Facebook and Twitter,” it explained.

As we see in Google or other search engines, clicking on the thumbnails will not redirect you to the original image page. The same is in Yahoo image search., After clicking on the thumbnails, you will be redirect to a yahoo page which will show you full sige image. If you have shared an image from Yahoo search, the shared link will point to the Yahoo link of the image  rather than the original one.

“In addition to social sharing, users can scroll down the Yahoo! Image search results to see more and more photos! Type a query for a current event and users will see photos pertaining to breaking news, along with the ability to continuously scroll through the results – all unique to Yahoo! Image Search,” Yahoo also said.
