According to the post in All About Windows Phone, Microsoft’s mobile app store, Windows Phone Marketplace has just crosses 50,000 app mark. And it is also adding 265 new apps and games daily.

If we take a look in the app count, 17,276 apps were added in the last 90 days. Market place currently have 13,002 different publishers. The growth of Windows Phone Marketplace is too slow while comparing with Apple’s store or Android store. But the growth it has seen in reaching 50,000 apps from 40,000 is remarkable. It took more than a year to reach 40,000 mark while only a month to reach 50,000 mark.

These numbers will surely get a bigger smile on the Face of Microsoft officials. The main drawback of Windows Phone platform is the lack of apps. The growing number of apps in Windows Phone marketplace will surely attract few Windows Phone customers.
