Vodafone 858 SmartVodafone launched a low cost own-branded Android Smartphone, Vodafone 858 Smart. Vodafone customers will also get some data offer with this smartphone.

The phone is powered by a low-performance 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor and runs on Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo mobile platform. It has 130 MB onboard memory which can pe expanded upto 32GB.

It has a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and support for 262k colors.

“At Vodafone, we understand the pulse of the urban Indian youth who are extremely brand conscious and have shown a great response to smartphones,” said Kumar Ramanathan, chief marketing officer, Vodafone India.

This phone was already availble in India via Flipkart. Flipkart was selling the smartphone for Rs 6,695 while company has launched this smartphone for only Rs 4,995.
