Facebook has announced on Wednesday that the company has increased the characters limit of Facebook status update up to 63,206 characters. While comparing to twitter which has 140 characters limit, this new Facebook status limit is far larger than the twitter limit.

Facebook had status update limit of 160 characters in early days which was increased to 420 in Mar 2009. Then in July 2011 it was again increased upto 500 characters length  This year in September 2011 this limit was increased upto 5000 characters. But now it is more than 60,000 characters. Which is more than enough to share your whole day story.

Vadim Lavrusik had posted on his profile, “In September, we increased the character limit on status updates to 5,000 characters. Today, we’re announcing that you can now write posts with more than 60,000 characters.”

Now on Facebook, you have no limit for expressing your self. You can even tell the whole day story of yourself. The only problem is with readers who will have to read the full story.
