Google has launched a new app for Android smartphones which is similar to the FlipBoard app of iOS. This app allows users to read news and related text based content on the Android devices in form of an e-magazine with bigger pictures and text.

Google current has almost all famous e-magazines which are available for free. So you can enjoy free reading on your device.

This app also comes with the integration with Google Readers. All the subscribed RSS feeds on your Google Reader can be made available on Google Currents.

But this app has not integration of social media hence users cannot share the contents on Facebook, twitter or Google+.

The Google currents application is presently not available in many countries including India. But it will announced soon worldwide.

Currently the app is only available for United states users. But we can expect the launch of app for other countries soon.
