Airtel announces free mobile access to twitter


Bharti Airtel has announced free twitter access to all its mobile customers in India. Now its customers can access twitter for free till 1st March 2012 via Go to the link, follow simple process of signup by entering mobile number and enjoy the service.

For using this service, users do not need to activte GPRS. All airtel mobile users can also subscribe for sms updates of any specific user via short code 53000 on their mobile phones free.

To create new account on Twitter, SMS ‘START’ to 53000, Then you will get a relpy sms, upon recieving a reply — SMS ‘SIGNUP’ to 53000. then, type a username (unique and less than 15 characters) and send it to 53000. Once Twitter approves your username, you will get a confirmation message, prompting you to SMS a chosen password to 53000. On completion of this process, your Twitter account will be created.

To receive updates from a specific user, SMS ‘Follow ‘ to 53000. Users can follow others on Twitter on SMS even without having a Twitter account of their own.
