   The better alternative of Aakash tablet is now in Indian market named Aakash 2 or Ubislate 7, which was developed as part of the government’s plan to provide school children with a tablet PC.

This Aakash 2, developed by DataWind  is Rs 500 costlier than the oldest Aakash. The defects in Aakash like slow processor speed, weak battery life and poor connectivity were taken care of in the latest version.

For a quick glance, the improved version of Aakash has:

  • both GPRS support and better Wi-Fi connectivity speeds
  • 2 USB 2.0 ports
  • provision for 3G modem
  • can also facilitate 150,000 Apps and several video games.
  • a front-camera,
  • a more powerful 3, 200mAh battery that can support 4 to 5 hours of battery life compared to 3 hours in Aakash
  • a faster Cortex A8-700MHz processor.
  • have a graphics processor and a HD video processor,
  • 2GB onboard Flash storage.
