Windows Phone users get their first app for video calling which is Tango. This app is already available for iOS and Android users. Tango is the first video calling application on Windows Phone. All windows phone users having front camera in the phone can use this app for video calling. Video call is only available for 4G, 3G and wifi. You can not use it on 2G network.
“Being a mobile-centric company, it was important for us to support Windows Phone as we believe it will be the next big platform in the smartphone market,” said Uri Raz, co-founder and chief executive officer of Tango.
This app is only available on Samsung Focus Flash, Samsung Focus S, HTC Titan, and HTC Radar. No Nokia phone running on windows phone have front camera.
Microsoft is also expected to launch Skype app for Windows phone for those smartphones that have a front facing camera. It will also brings high quality video calling.
