Now its official that Samsung is leading smartphone company. Samsung has overtaken the leading smartphone company Apple and become the smartphone leader of the world by revenue. Samsung has shown a strong growth in the current quarter and company is expecting this to be continued in next quarter too.
Samsung had earned a good revenue from the smartphone based on the Google Android. But Samsung has decline to give the actual data of its smartphone sale.
Samsung shipped 27.8 million smartphones in the last quarter, taking 23.8 percent of the market, Milton Keynes, U.K.- based Strategy Analytics said in an e-mailed statement today. Apple’s 17.1 million shipments, comprising 14.6 percent of the market, pushed the Cupertino, California-based company to second place.
“Looking ahead into the fourth quarter, when industry demand is traditionally at its peak, Samsung expects sales of mobile devices to remain strong and flat panel TV shipments to increase,” the company said in a statement.

Android is the only reason for the success of Samsung. People like Android smartphones and Samsung is providing them what they want. It will be interesting how other companies do to beat Samsung and how Apple manage to get its top position back.
