HCL has launched an Android based tablet HCL ME X1 in India. This tablet is powered by Cortex A8 1Ghz processor with 512 MB ram. It runs Google’s mobile operating system Android version 2.2. This tablet offers 7 inch capacitive touch screen with 800×480 pixel resolution.

“We are excited to launch our new tablet- the X1, specially designed to cater to the demands of Indian customers. The X1 ME tablet promises to bring great value by redefining on-the-go user experience with its innovative design, display and technology,” said Harsh Chitale, chief executive officer, HCL Infosystems.

This tablet offers 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB. It has a 2 MP camera and a 3500 mAH battery.

connectivity features of HTC ME X1 includes 3G, Wifi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth. It also comes with popular social networking and instant messaging apps. For office people, it has many apps for office work. users will also be able to download more than 10,000 apps from HCL android store.
