Google earth app is only 6 years old and has crossed a milestone today. Google has announced via a blog post that Google earth has reached to 1 billion download mark.
Google wrote,”How large is one billion? One billion hours ago modern humans were living in the Stone Age. One billion minutes ago, the Roman Empire was flourishing. If you traveled from Earth to the Moon three times, your journey would measure one billion meters.”

Google earth is a nice tool for getting geographic detail of a place for free. You can also use it find the way in a city too.
