Research In Motion (RIM) group has announced a deal to buy Ireland’s NewBay. NewBay is the provider of  photo, video, and social-network tools for smart phones and computers.
RIM has planned to use this service to boost the sale of its smartphones and tablets.
NewBay has more than 80 million subscribers for its “white-label” content services. It has deals with some popular network operators including Telefonica , Deutsche Telekom , AT&T and Verizon. In this type of deals customers will only see the name of network operators in place of newBay.
Newbay was founded in 2002 and all the content which company provides is stored on the company server.
RIM did not disclosed any data of the deal so we can not say the exact price which RIM will pay.
