BSNL, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has launched its application store called BSNL Apps Store. This store will be available for BSNL mobile users having GPRS and will offer more than 4500 apps. The payment for these apps will be done through the prepaid balance or postpaid bill and users won’t need credit card or debit card for that.
This apps store has both free and paid apps. Users can download any app available in 25 catagories which will include entertainment, news, finance, horoscope, sports, games, themes and utilities among others.
BSNL subscribers will have to get their GPRS facility activated in order to visit the BSNL Live WAP Portal. Once there, they will get a ‘BSNL Apps Store’ icon on the BSNL Live Home page which can be accessed for browsing the available apps.
Browsing will be charged separately and downloading charge will only applicable when user will download any app. The charges for app download will be there on the store along with the app.
Now BSNL is also in the race of the private companies having their own mobile store.
