RCom unveils 7 inch Android 3G tablet

Reliance Communication has announced its first Android tablet in India.This 7 inch tablet is manufactured by ZTE and based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has capacitive touch screen and 2 MP rear camera with a front camera. It has 512 MB ram. It supports push email, video calling, mobile TV, GPS and video recording. You will get a 4GB microSD card and external storage can be upgraded upto 32GB.

“We believe the unmet demand of a fully loaded tablet at an aggressive price point will now fuel the aspirations of the evolved customers,” Mahesh Prasad, president, Reliance Communications said. 

The device is priced at Rs 12,999. As expected  It will come with some data offers too. RCom is offering 1 GB data every month for 12 months for Rs 4,500, 2 GB for Rs 5,500 and 5 GB for Rs 7,000. Monthly plans are also on offer with 20 to 33 per cent discount on regular tariffs.
