16 years ago, on 16 August 1995, Microsoft had launched the first version of Internet explorer. It was a king of browsers for many years but now it has a great competition with Chrome, FireFox and opera.
In 1995, Microsoft had licensed Spyglass Mosaic, a browser which it then used to create Internet Explorer 1. Internet Explorer is used as a default web browser in windows operating systems. It has a rapid growth in its early days till the launch of IE6. The latest version, Internet explorer 9 is the best among all and the next version IE 10 will be launched soon.
But there are many alternatives available such as Chrome, FireFox, Safari or Opera. But now people prefer other browsers than IE. some days ago a report was released on the Internet saying that IE is only used by the persons having lower IQ. The Microsoft is facing a lot of battle with this browser and trying to give its best to save its  crown.
