Los Angeles: Top video game publisher Electronics Arts Inc. (EA) will bring its popular role playing game “The Sims” to Facebook users. This announcement was made on video game industry’s annual conference known as E3.

“Sims” players on Facebook will be motivated through creating rivalries, friendship and romance. In-game micro-transactions are expected to generate revenue. EA did not give a release date but said it has been developing the game for about a year.

“Create over a million unique Sims and control their lives. Customize everything from their appearances, to their personalities and even the home of their dreams. Then, send your Sims out to explore new locations around town and to meet other Sims in the neighborhood,” Game note says on its official website.

This movement of EA games may be the response to the success of FarmVille which is ruling on Facebook games. So EA is now thinking to take some competition with Zynga Inc.
