Airtel and Karbonn launch 4G VoLTE smartphone at an effective price of Rs. 1399

As already expected, Airtel has finally launched a cheap smartphone to compete with JioPhone. Airtel has partnered with Karbonn Mobiles and launched Karbonn A40 Indian in the Indian market. This phone comes at an effective price of Rs. 1399.

Airtel has also launched a new Rs. 169 plan for this phone. This plan offers unlimited calling and 0.5GB 4G data per day for 28 days. But you need to do 36 continuous monthly recharges of Rs. 169 for keep using this offer.

To get the phone, you need to make a down payment of Rs 2899 and then start using the phone with Rs. 169 plan for 36 months. you will get Rs. 500 refund after 18 months and another Rs. 1000 after 36 months. So, you will get Rs. 1500 after 36 months making the effective price of Rs. 1399 for this phone.

If you want to use any other plan, you are free to use. But you can claim the cash refund only if your recharges are worth Rs. 3000 within first 18 months and Rs. 3000 over the next 18 months.

Now if I talk about the phone, Karbonn A40 Indian comes with 4-inch WVGA touch display and runs on Android Nougat. It has 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM. It offers 8 GB of storage with an option to expand storage up to 32GB. It has 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera.

The phone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. It also packs 1400 mAh battery.

The phone will be available on all leading retail stores across the country and after-sales service will be provided by Karbonn mobiles.
