Google has now revamped the video player to provide a modern-looking video player with intuitive controls and Material You 3 UI. The new video player aims to provide a less cluttered viewing experience. Users can fast-forward and rewind videos easily. It also lets users quickly adjust playback speed and manage captions.

The new video player will also be used in Google Vids, Google’s upcoming video editor. Google also confirms that the upcoming platform will also be integrated with Google Drive.

Google is now rolling out the new video player for Google Drive and it should be available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts in the next few days. There’s no admin control for this.
