Lava Bold N2 5G with 120Hz Display, 6000mAh Battery and Android 16 Launched in India

Lava Bold N2 5G

Lava has launched its latest budget 5G smartphone, Lava Bold N2 5G, in India. The phone focuses on battery life, a smooth display experience, and 5G connectivity while keeping the price affordable.

The Lava Bold N2 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the screen resolution is limited to HD+, the higher refresh rate should offer smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz displays.

The smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T8200 octa-core processor built on a 6nm process. According to Lava, the chipset scores over 500,000 points on the AnTuTu v11 benchmark. This makes it capable of handling everyday tasks, social media apps, video streaming, and light gaming without issues.

The phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Lava is also shipping the Bold N2 5G with Android 16 out of the box. That is notable because many phones in this price segment still launch with older Android versions and receive updates later.

It has 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera setup is basic, but it should be sufficient for casual photography, video calls, and social media sharing.

Other features include an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi ac, GPS, and support for multiple 5G bands.

It packs a 6000mAh battery. Lava claims the battery can deliver up to 815 minutes of YouTube playback and up to 743 minutes of screen-on time on a single charge. The device supports 18W charging via a USB Type-C port.

The Lava Bold N2 5G comes in Regal Gold and Billionaire Blue colour options. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,999. However, Lava is offering it at a special launch price of Rs. 11,999.

The phone will go on sale through Amazon starting June 9.

Lava is also bundling its Free Service @ Home program with the smartphone. The service allows customers to get support and assistance at home instead of visiting a service centre for common issues.
