Samsung has expanded its Certified Re-Newed (CRN) program in India to include the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The program allows customers to buy refurbished Samsung smartphones through the company’s official sales channels, with the devices going through Samsung’s inspection and refurbishment process before being sold again.
Samsung launched the Certified Re-Newed program in India in May with the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Ultra and select Galaxy A series smartphones. The addition of the Galaxy S26 series brings Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones to the program only months after their original launch.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra are available through the program in two storage configurations. The 256GB model is priced at Rs. 74,799, while the 512GB version costs Rs. 91,799. The Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at Rs. 1,18,999 for 256GB storage and goes up to Rs. 1,35,999 for the 512GB model.

Samsung says every device sold through the Certified Re-Newed program undergoes inspection, cleaning and testing. Any repairs required during the refurbishment process use genuine Samsung components.
The company also says each refurbished phone includes a battery that has been verified against its quality, reliability and performance standards. Before resale, the device is securely wiped to remove data from its previous owner and updated to the latest available software version.
All Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S26 series devices come with a one-year manufacturer warranty.
The refurbished Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra are available through Samsung.com and the official Samsung Shop app in India. Availability can vary depending on stock, including storage options and colours.
Adding the Galaxy S26 series to the program makes sense in the current premium smartphone market, where flagship prices have continued to move upward and buyers are increasingly looking for ways to get high-end hardware at a lower price.
The pricing is interesting for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. At Rs. 1,18,999 for the Certified Re-Newed 256GB model, it is still an expensive smartphone, but it brings Samsung’s top-end flagship into a price range that is more accessible than buying a new Ultra at its original retail price (Rs. 1,30,999). The S26 at Rs. 74,799 also sits below the price of many new premium smartphones while offering hardware that is still relatively current.
However, Samsung’s success with the program will depend heavily on how these prices compare with new Galaxy phones available through discounts and promotions. Samsung’s flagship devices frequently receive price cuts, bank offers, exchange bonuses and other incentives, particularly during major Indian shopping events. If the difference between a Certified Re-Newed phone and a discounted new unit is small, many buyers will naturally prefer the new device.
The program therefore has a better chance of succeeding when Samsung maintains a meaningful price gap between new and refurbished models. The one-year warranty and use of genuine Samsung components can help address the trust problem associated with buying a used smartphone, but they cannot compensate for a refurbished phone being only marginally cheaper than a new one.
