OnePlus has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming budget smartphone, the OnePlus N6 Lite. The company had been teasing the phone over the past few days and has now confirmed that it will launch in India on September 22, 2026.
The OnePlus N6 Lite is focused on battery life and display performance. OnePlus has also highlighted its durability and long-term performance as key features of the new N-series smartphone.
The biggest highlight of the OnePlus N6 Lite is its 7,000mAh battery. OnePlus claims the phone can deliver up to 26.8 hours of video playback, up to 29.9 hours of navigation using Google Maps, and up to 49.7 hours of voice calls. The company also claims up to three days of general usage on a single charge.
The phone supports wired reverse charging, allowing users to use the smartphone as a power source for other devices and accessories.
OnePlus says the battery is designed to retain more than 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. The company estimates this to be roughly six years of typical use.
Despite packing a large 7,000mAh battery, the phone is 8.95mm thick and weighs around 215 grams.
The smartphone also meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards for resistance against impacts and everyday drops.
The OnePlus N6 Lite features a large 6.75-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also gets OnePlus’ Aqua Touch technology. It is designed to keep touch input responsive when the screen has water droplets, moisture or oil on it.
OnePlus will offer the N6 Lite in two color options, Midnight Hype and Neo Green.
The OnePlus N6 Lite comes with a 36-Month Fluency certification. OnePlus says this certification is based on testing aimed at maintaining smooth performance and minimizing performance degradation over three years.
The phone will also include several AI-powered tools. These include AI Eraser and AI Clear Face for photo editing. Google Gemini integration will also be available for tasks such as search, content creation and everyday productivity.
OnePlus has not yet revealed the price of the N6 Lite in India. The company will announce the official pricing, launch offers and open-sale details during the September 22 launch event.
The phone will be sold through OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store app, Amazon.in, OnePlus Experience Stores and select offline retail partners.
