Nvidia is giving GeForce NOW users another reason to try its Ultimate tier this week. The cloud gaming service is adding path tracing support to 007 First Light, while also expanding its library with 10 new games.
The path tracing update is available to GeForce NOW Ultimate members playing through Nvidia’s RTX 5080-class servers. It brings more detailed lighting, shadows and reflections to 007 First Light, making the game’s environments and set pieces look more realistic.
Nvidia says DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is also used with the update to improve the clarity and quality of the ray-traced effects. Path tracing is more demanding than traditional ray tracing, so bringing it to GeForce NOW’s RTX 5080-class servers allows users to access the feature without needing a high-end gaming PC of their own.

The latest update also adds 10 games to the GeForce NOW library. Some of the notable additions include Aniimo, the new creature-catching open-world RPG from Pawprint Studio, and Active Matter, the extraction shooter from Gaijin.
Outer Wilds is another notable addition. The time-looping adventure is now available through GeForce NOW for players who own the game on Steam.
The complete list of new additions is:
- Active Matter (Steam and Gaijin)
- Aniimo (Steam)
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds (Xbox, PC Game Pass)
- Train Sim World 7 (Steam)
- The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 (Steam)
- The Blood of Dawnwalker (GOG.com)
- Mixtape (Steam)
- Neon White (Steam)
- Outer Wilds (Steam)
- Stray (Steam)
- What Remains of Edith Finch (Steam)
Nvidia is also planning to add more games to GeForce NOW throughout September. The service does not work like Game Pass, where games are included with the subscription. In most cases, users still need to own the game on a supported store before they can stream it through GeForce NOW. PC Game Pass titles can also be played when the required license is included.
GeForce NOW subscribers should also keep in mind that Nvidia places monthly usage limits on its plans. The exact limits depend on the membership tier.

For Ultimate members, however, the addition of path tracing to 007 First Light is arguably the biggest part of this week’s update. It shows how Nvidia is using its cloud hardware to bring demanding graphics features to players who may not have an RTX 5080-class gaming PC at home.
