Hisense has expanded its premium smart TV portfolio in India with the launch of the new E8S ULED Mini-LED TV series. The new smart TV lineup aims at consumers looking for a premium viewing experience, high refresh rates for gaming, and advanced smart TV features at competitive prices.
The Hisense E8S series comes after the company’s recent launch of the U7SE series through offline retail channels. Unlike the U7SE lineup, the E8S series will be sold exclusively through online platforms.
The new TV series uses ULED Mini-LED display technology with Full Array Local Dimming. This technology allows the TV to control multiple backlight zones independently, resulting in deeper blacks, improved contrast, and better overall picture quality. Hisense has also included Hi-QLED Colour technology with Pantone validation, which is designed to deliver more accurate and lifelike colours.
The company has opted for a sleek unibody design that gives the TVs a modern appearance while maximizing screen immersion. The TVs are powered by Hisense’s Hi-View AI Engine, which automatically adjusts picture settings, contrast, and colours based on the content being viewed. The top-end 85-inch model gets the more advanced Hi-View AI Engine Pro for enhanced image processing and improved detail.
These smart TVs also have a strong focus on gaming. The TVs feature a native 144Hz refresh rate, making them suitable for fast-paced gaming and sports content. Support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), MEMC, and low-latency gaming further enhances the gaming experience by reducing motion blur and screen tearing.
For audio, Hisense has partnered with Devialet to tune the built-in subwoofer. The TVs deliver 40W sound output and support Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos technologies. The company claims the built-in subwoofer offers deeper bass and a more immersive sound experience without requiring external speakers.
The E8S series runs on the VIDAA Smart OS, which provides access to popular streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. Other notable features include HDR10+ Adaptive, Dolby Vision IQ, Filmmaker Mode, an AI RGB Light Sensor that adjusts picture settings based on ambient lighting conditions, and hands-free voice control.
The TVs are available in four screen sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch. All models feature a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, Quantum Dot technology, wide colour gamut support, and a 178-degree viewing angle. Connectivity options include four HDMI ports, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet, optical audio output, and HDMI eARC support.
