DJI Osmo Pocket 4P

DJI has officially launched the Osmo Pocket 4P in China, a month after first unveiling the camera at the Cannes Film Festival.

The new pocket-sized camera brings several upgrades over its predecessor, including a dual-camera setup, a larger display, improved video capabilities, and faster charging. It will compete directly with the recently launched Insta360 Luna Ultra in the growing pocket gimbal camera market.

Osmo Pocket 4P comes with a dual-camera system. The camera features a 1-inch primary sensor with LOFIC technology, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 20mm equivalent focal length. DJI has also added a dedicated telephoto camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.8 aperture, and a 60mm equivalent focal length.

The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and up to 12x digital zoom, giving creators more flexibility while shooting.

DJI has also included its 3-axis mechanical gimbal system with intelligent subject tracking to keep footage smooth and stable.

The Osmo Pocket 4P supports 10-bit video recording and D-Log2 color for better color grading during post-production. Users can record videos at up to 4K resolution at 60fps. For slow-motion footage, the camera supports recording at up to 4K 240fps.

For photography, the camera can capture still images at up to 37MP. It also includes Panorama mode for wider shots.

The camera comes with a 2-inch rotating touchscreen display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, making it easier to use outdoors.

DJI has equipped the Osmo Pocket 4P with three built-in microphones for improved audio recording.

The device weighs 230 grams and includes 103GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage by up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The camera is powered by a 1,545mAh battery. DJI claims the battery can charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes, while a full charge takes approximately 32 minutes.

The Osmo Pocket 4P supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.4 for faster wireless connectivity and easier pairing with other devices.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is currently available for pre-order in China in Classic Black and Pearl White color options. The standard kit is priced at CNY 3,799 (around $560), while the Vlog Kit costs CNY 4,299 (around $635).

DJI has not yet announced global availability, but the camera is expected to launch in other markets in the coming months.
