Sony has announced a new price hike for its PlayStation Plus subscription service. The company said that new and returning subscribers in several regions will now have to pay more for monthly and three-month plans.
The updated pricing increases the one-month PlayStation Plus plan by $1, while the three-month plan gets a $3 increase. Sony confirmed that the new starting prices are now $10.99 USD, €9.99 EUR, and £7.99 GBP for the one-month subscription. The three-month plan now starts at $27.99 USD, €27.99 EUR, and £21.99 GBP.
Sony also clarified that the new pricing will not affect existing subscribers in most regions. However, the company confirmed that all current PlayStation Plus subscribers in India and Turkey will also see the price increase.
According to Sony, the decision was made due to “ongoing market conditions.” The company did not provide more details about the reason behind the increase.
PlayStation Plus is required for online multiplayer gaming on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. The subscription also offers monthly free games, exclusive discounts on the PlayStation Store, and additional gaming benefits.
This comes shortly after Sony increased the prices of the PlayStation 5 console in multiple markets. The company had raised prices by as much as $150 for some models, including both standard and Pro variants. At that time, Sony said the move was necessary because of continued pressure in the global economy.

Sony has also made other major changes this year. The company reportedly shut down two studios in 2025, including Bluepoint Games, known for the remakes of Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, along with Dark Outlaw Games.
