DJI has introduced its new compact gimbal camera, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4. The new model brings upgrades in video quality, tracking, and controls while keeping the portable design.
The Osmo Pocket 4 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. It supports 4K video recording at up to 240fps. The camera also offers 14 stops of dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log support. This should help in capturing better details in both bright and low-light conditions.
The device comes with a built-in three-axis gimbal for stable footage. DJI has also improved tracking and focus. It now includes ActiveTrack 7.0, subject lock tracking, and dynamic framing features. These are designed to keep subjects in focus even during movement.
There is a dedicated zoom control with 1x and 2x lossless zoom, extendable up to 4x. The camera also includes 107GB of internal storage and supports fast transfer speeds up to 800MB/s. This reduces the need for external storage in many cases.
The Osmo Pocket 4 offers multiple ways to control the device. Users can use physical buttons, a touchscreen, and even gestures. For example, raising a palm can enable tracking, while a “V” gesture can start or stop recording.
The camera also includes features like Spotlight Follow, Quick Shots, slow shutter video, and film tone presets. There are also in-camera beautify options and support for an attachable fill light.
For audio, the device includes a built-in microphone array. It also supports external audio devices like DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic 3, and DJI Mic Mini.
Battery life is rated at up to 240 minutes of recording at 1080p. The device supports fast charging and can go from 0 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes.

The Osmo Pocket 4 will be available through DJI’s official store and retail partners. The standard version is priced at around $600, while the Creator Combo costs about $740. The combo includes additional accessories like a wireless microphone, fill light, and battery handle.
