NVIDIA has rolled out a new weekly update for its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. As part of its usual Thursday refresh, the company has added official support for several new games. The update also brings an important platform expansion for Linux users.

GeForce NOW now has an official native app for Linux. The application is designed for systems running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or newer. With this release, Linux users no longer need to rely on a web browser or third-party tools to access the service. NVIDIA says the native app delivers better performance and a smoother experience.

Along with the platform update, NVIDIA has expanded the list of supported games. This week’s additions focus heavily on indie titles, along with a well-known classic series. Games like Cairn, The Midnight Walkers, and Half Sword are now supported on the service. The Bard’s Tale franchise from inXile Entertainment has also been added.

NVIDIA also reminds users that GeForce NOW works differently from game subscription services. Players must own a copy of the game or have access through a compatible license, such as PC Game Pass. Only then can the game be streamed through NVIDIA’s cloud servers. Monthly playtime limits still apply based on the user’s subscription plan.
